A 30-year-old man has been sent to prison for a chase in Red Bluff. Corey Joseph Janic was arrested January 23rd. A deputy saw Janic driving erratically on Interstate Five just outside of Red Bluff and tried to pull him over. Janic exited at Diamond Avenue and drove with willful disregard for the safety of the public as he tried to evade the pursuing deputy. Janic eventually crashed his car and fled on foot, but was captured soon afterward. He has a prior strike conviction and has been sentenced to 4 years in state prison.
