Man With Multiple DUI’s Sentenced To 6 Years

A man with multiple DUI convictions is going to prison again for his latest drunk driving arrest. 44-year-old William Scott Hopper was pulled over at 1:30AM on October 8th by Redding Police DUI Specialist Jacob Provencio, who had observed Hopper weaving in his lane, as well as crossing over into the oncoming traffic lane. Hopper’s blood alcohol level tested at .24%, which is 3 times the legal limit. Hopper has been to state prison twice for drunk driving, and at the time of his arrest he had a suspended license and was on Post Release Community Supervision from his last DUI. On Friday Hopper was sentenced to the maximum of 6 years in prison.
