Secret Witness Offers New Reward For Info On 2013 Murder

A new reward has been posted in hopes of solving the murder of a Red Bluff woman 5 years ago. 60-year-old Mary Carmello disappeared from her home on Washington Avenue in Red Bluff in May of 2013. Almost a year later, her remains were found in Plumas National Forest near Seneca. Police say Carmello’s blue Nissan Versa was likely used in the crime. It apparently has never been found. Carmello was a Native American woman, 5’4″ and 185 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. A $10,500 reward is available for anonymous tips through Tehama County Secret Witness at 527-1268.
