Deputies Say Boy Make Online Threat Against Red Bluff School

A 12-year-old boy is in hot water after he posted on social media that he was going to shoot up Antelope School in Red Bluff, according to the Tehama County Sheriff’s Office. Wednesday night deputies received a call from the district attorney’s office that a boy had posted to Instagram that he was going to kill everyone, and shoot up Antelope School. Sheriff Hencratt contacted school officials and sent a sheriff’s K9 and deputies to the school to look for anything suspicious. A heavy uniformed presence is expected Thursday at the school. As deputies were investigating the boys parents contacted the sheriff’s office and said their son admitted to them he had posted the hoax online. The boys parents are working with law enforcement and there will be a strong law enforcement presence at the school Thursday.
