Update: Coroner ID’s Woman Killed In Fatal Crash In South Redding

The name has been released of a woman who was killed in a traffic collision in South Redding Wednesday afternoon. 68-year-old Marcie Jane Shelby of Anderson died at Mercy Medical Center. She had been driving a Toyota Rav4 and was crossing Highway 273 at Girvan Road on a green light when her small SUV was broadsided by a speeding northbound Toyota Highlander that had just been stolen. The driver of the Highlander fled the scene on foot. An intensive search was done of the surrounding area and eventually 24-year-old Frank Joseph Delahunty was picked up on Cedars Road. He had minor facial injuries. Delahunty was out of jail on his own recognizance after being sentenced last Wednesday for a case involving a stolen car. He was booked into jail on a long list of felonies.
