Most law enforcement agencies have trained and equipped their officers with Narcan, an emergency medication that can save the lives of people experiencing drug overdoses. Now the training and the Narcan kits are available to anybody who knows someone at risk of an opioid drug overdose. Doctor Candy Stockton, a local addiction specialist, will provide the education on when and how to properly use Narcan, and pharmacist Christy Porter will provide the kits. The event takes place this evening from 6PM to 7PM at the Redding Library.
