Update: Coroner ID’s Man Killed By Deputy After Standoff Near Red Bluff

The name has been released of a man who was shot dead by a Tehama County Sheriff’s Sergeant Wednesday. At 11:30AM a woman called 911 to say her boyfriend, 34-year-old Abraham Flores of Los Molinos, was armed and threatening suicide at the old Diamond Mill next to the Shasta College Tehama County Campus on Diamond Avenue south of Red Bluff. Deputies negotiated for about 45 minutes until Flores reportedly raised his rifle toward deputies and he was shot. The sheriff’s office says Flores has a history of mental health issues.
