Despite voter mandated decriminalization statewide, the Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Department continues aggressively raiding Cannabis operations that are legal and legit in many other parts of California. On Friday a task force of Sheriff’s and D.A.’s Office personnel brought a search warrant to a Honey Oil lab on Cricket Road in Mount Shasta. Sheriff Jon Lopey calls it a highly flammable and potentially explosive process, but the damage done in the past has been from a process utilizing Butane. The operation busted Friday was using the state-approved method of Carbon Dioxide through a sophisticated closed loop system worth an estimated Half Million Dollars. About 19 pounds of Marijuana was seized, along with 449 ounces of Concentrated Cannabis and 116 vaping cartridges. Three people were arrested. The task force also raided 4 cultivation sites on two properties in the Mount Shasta Vista Juniper Terrace Area. 337 plants were seized along with two guns and one person was arrested.
