Fire Investigators Arrest Arson Suspect

Defendants have been identified in two arson fires that were started in the City of Redding in the past week. On Wednesday night, a fire broke out just northeast of the intersection of Victor Avenue and Cypress Avenue. Although it only covered less than two acres, some large Pine Trees produced a huge column of thick dark smoke that could be seen for miles around. That fire was blamed on Ted Williams, a homeless man who is now wanted for that fire. Williams’ alleged motive is not known.

A fire was started intentionally Sunday morning off Bechelli Lane behind Advanced Concepts. It was started by a homeless woman who was fighting with her boyfriend, according to Redding Fire Investigator Jeremy Stoke. Jorgie Kinsfather was arrested and booked into jail for arson. The fire burned about a quarter acre.
