A former Red Bluff resident who was extradited from Indiana has been convicted of sex crimes against children by a Tehama County jury. Over the course of 5 to 8 years, 42-year-old Santos Dejesus Portillo-Guzman molested two girls, starting when they were under the age of ten. The abuse continued until he moved to Indiana. He was arrested there in January and U.S. Marshals brought him back to face the charges. After a three day trial, a jury deliberated for two hours on Friday before returning guilty verdicts on all counts and special allegations, including aggravated sexual assault, rape, forcible lewd acts and other charges. Sentencing is set for August 9th.
