Structure fires will occur this weekend at Shasta College. Cal-Fire and Shasta County Fire will conduct a live structure fire training exercise Saturday and Sunday at the Shasta College Training Grounds just north of the main campus. About 20 volunteer firefighters and Cal-Fire personnel will hone their skills with live fire in a realistic environment. Students will experience the heat, obstacle and other difficulties that cannot be taught in a classroom. Smoke will be visible both days between 8AM and 5PM.
