Lockdown Lifted After Anonymous Bomb Threat

An emailed bomb threat caused a lockdown at Pioneer High School Thursday morning. At 10:42AM, Redding Police responded after the school district’s IT department reported the anonymous email. A school resource officer was notified. After consulting with a member of the Shasta County Explosives Team, a search was conducted. No explosive device was found and the school returned to normal operations. The Central California Intelligence Center has confirmed the same email went out to businesses, government agencies, schools, and private citizens throughout the country at about the same time.
