Police Arrest 3 After Alleged Car Jacking

Three arrests were made early Friday morning after a reported carjacking at gunpoint at the Burger King on Eureka Way. The female victim reported the armed robbery at 1:15AM, saying she was an acquaintance of the robbers. A short time later a Redding Police Officer spotted the car going east on Cypress Avenue. He followed it until backup arrived and a high-risk traffic stop was done on Bechelli at Beagle Lane. There were four people in the car. Anthony Cloyd and Michael Clement, both 20-years-old, and 23-year-old Erik Morris were arrested for carjacking, robbery and conspiracy. A juvenile was apparently not related to the crime and he was later released to his parents. No gun was found.
