An extensive search is underway for a Whitmore woman. 42-year-old Cheryl Marie McBee was reported missing Monday morning by her mother, Char Novack. She had last seen her on Sunday in her Jeep Liberty at the Whitmore General Store. Apparently nobody has heard from her since then. Novack says her daughter may be experiencing some mental health issues, because it’s out of her character to vanish like this. Monday afternoon the worry increased when McBee’s unoccupied Jeep was found in a small creek in the Whitmore area. The Shasta County Search and Rescue Teams are searching hard for Cheryl McBee. She’s a 42-year-old white woman, 5-foot-2 and 150 pounds with brown eyes and shoulder length brown hair. She was wearing a dark colored shirt and blue jeans.
