Deputies arrived too late to catch some armed home invasion robbers in Western Trinity County on Friday. A 911 call was made at 7AM reporting the robbery in progress at a home in Salyer. A few minutes later the victims called to say the robbers had fled. They were not able to describe the suspects or their vehicle. One had a handgun and the other had a rifle, which they used to threaten the victims, though no shots were fired. They apparently got away with a large quantity of marijuana and a lot of cash, as well as several cell phones. Some evidence found at the scene will be processed for DNA in hopes of identifying the robbers.
