Investigators have determined that a dead man found Thursday in Siskiyou County was the victim of murder. The body of 31-year-old Hunter Simms of Texas was found by a utility worker at the bottom of a hill in a remote area near North Old State Road near Eddy Creek Road northwest of Weed. A vehicle linked to Simms was found nearby. A joint investigation is being conducted by several state and county drug task forces.
