DWR Plans On Increasing Flows Down New Oroville Dam Spillway

The new spillway at Oroville Dam is performing as expected, so with incoming storms, water releases will be increased. The current release into the Feather River is 20,000 cubic feet per second, with 10,800 CFS going down the spillway. Friday morning at 10AM, that will increase to 21,500 CFS going down the spillway and a total of 30,000 going into the river. The Department of Water Resources says that Oro Dam Boulevard east will remain open to pedestrian and vehicle traffic even with these increased flows.
