Police Arrest Teen After Alleged Threats Towards High School

An 18-year-old high school student has been arrested for making a terrorist threat. Staff at Red Bluff High School relayed a report of possible violence. Red Bluff Police were notified and found that 18-year-old Thomas Trotter had warned a fellow student of a possible shooting at the school Monday, and told the student to stay home. Officers and investigators from the Tehama County D.A’s Office went to the school and found Trotter in the school library. He reportedly had a survival-type knife on him. A search of his vehicle turned up another knife and a Billy Club, but no firearms. Trotter was booked into Tehama County Jail, charged with terrorist threats and possession of the weapons. His bail is $83,000. Authorities say this appears to be an isolated incident, with no others involved.
