Woman Who Led Officers High Speed Pursuit Sentenced

A very high speed chase has led to probation in Tehama County. On February 6th law enforcement had been on the lookout for a car driven by 26-year-old Estefhany Corea-Mendoza of Washington State. An officer spotted it in Glenn County and tried to stop it, but Corea-Mendoza sped up to 150 miles an hour and led officers on a long pursuit before she crashed the car near Rolling Hills Casino. For felony reckless evading, Corea-Mendoza has been given a 3 year prison sentence, suspended in lieu of 5 years formal probation, and with credit given for 128 days already spent in jail.
