Man Sentenced To Life In Prison For 2017 Murder

A 32-year-old Shasta County man has been sentenced for a murder he committed 2-and-a-half years ago. In February of 2017 Kane Kazzcooper Harrison, a.k.a. “Rage”, shot 24-year-old Randall Matsunaga in the chest after getting into an argument with him at the Bixby Knolls Trailer Park off Highway 273 south of Redding. Harrison was captured 11 days later in the Butte County town of Clipper Mills, where he had fled with his girlfriend to her family’s home. In March Harrison entered a guilty plea to second degree murder with a prior strike. On Wednesday he was sentenced to 30 years to life in state prison.
