No new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Shasta County since last Tuesday, with the total number of confirmed cases at 31. Four people have died from Coronavirus in Shasta County. 5 people are still sick and in isolation, one of them hospitalized. 10 people are quarantined due to possible exposure. There have been 1,563 people who have tested negative so far.
A Covid testing station at Shasta College is testing health care workers and other essential workers who are showing no symptoms. There’s no estimate yet on when the non-symptomatic testing will be opened up to the general public.
Those with symptoms of COVID-19, which include cough, fever and difficulty breathing, should still contact their healthcare provider or public health at 225-5591.
Tehama County’s only confirmed Coronavirus patient has died. Butte County has had 17 cases. Siskiyou County has had 5, but all have recovered. Glenn County has had 5. There have been 54 cases in Humboldt County. There are still none reported in Trinity, Lassen or Modoc Counties.
