Supervisors To Vote To Oppose State Vaccine Mandates

In what’s sure to be a hot topic at Tuesday’s, meeting the Shasta County Board of Supervisors will vote on a resolution to officially oppose state-imposed Covid vaccine mandates. The resolution says the board agrees with the scientific data showing vaccines to be safe and effective, and they want it available to anyone eligible to receive it. However, the resolution also states the board’s conviction that the choice to be vaccinated remain with each individual, regardless of their employment situation or their exposure to others. The resolution would be accompanied by a letter to Governor Newsom. Next Tuesday at 4PM the board will hold a special meeting about vaccine mandates.
