Hearing For Cameron Hooker Delayed Until April

A hearing has been delayed again for a Red Bluff man who kept a woman locked in a box nearly every day for 7 years. In 1984 Colleen Stan escaped from Cameron Hooker, who had been raping her, torturing her and holding her in a wooden box since 1977. He was sentenced to 104 years in prison but sentencing reform laws have made it possible for hooker to be paroled. A hearing in San Mateo that’s been delayed numerous times was set for Tuesday, but it’s been delayed again until April 18th. The hearing could prompt a trial that would have Hooker declared a sexually violent predator, making it easier to keep him behind bars.
