Work Crews Remove Over 15,000 Pounds Of Debris During Cleanup Operation

A major cleanup was done last week by the Redding Police Department’s Community Work Program, which uses inmate labor from the sheriff’s office. Nearby residents complained about illegal activity and dumping in the area where the Shasta View Drive extension meets Airport Road near the Forest Service Station. The inmate crew and NPU Officers removed more than 15,000 pounds of trash and debris from the area, and found evidence of fire hazards.
