K9 Helps Officers Arrest Man After Disturbance At Mobile Home Park

K9 Otto was used to help de-escalate a disturbance at a Redding mobile home park. About 2:30PM Saturday afternoon, police were called to the Country Club Mobile Home Park on Bechelli Lane. 45-year-old Ryan Davis was apparently throwing items out of the trailer destroying them and littering the roadway in front of the park. Neighbors were concerned for the safety of the 63-year-old homeowner. Davis was also dumping potted plants on his head and sitting underneath a running water hose. After multiple attempts to communicate with Davis, he continued his erratic behavior causing significant damage to both the indoor and outdoor of the unit. When officers finally approached Davis to arrest him, he reportedly resisted efforts to control him. Control holds were used, and Otto was deployed to finally get him under control. The homeowner was apparently not home at the time. Davis was taken to a hospital for treatment before being taken to jail on charges of public intoxication, and resisting arrest.
