Update: Man Surrenders After Standoff In Red Bluff

A man held officers at bay in a four hour standoff after shooting his girlfriend Thursday, according to Red Bluff Police. Responding officers found a woman with a gunshot wound to her chest on the ground in front of a home on Kimball Road. She was taken to a hospital and was in stable condition at last word. Her live-in boyfriend, 40-year-old Paul Rossetti, had apparently barricaded himself inside the garage. After a lengthy negotiation with the SWAT Team, Rossetti surrendered. Red Bluff Police detectives found several guns with ammunition in the garage. Two children were there when the shooting happened. They were not harmed. Rossetti’s charges include attempted murder and child endangerment.
