A murder suspect from New Jersey apparently failed in his attempt to lay low out west. Early Monday morning Corning Police were called to Marguerite Avenue on a report of a suspicious vehicle with some sort of disturbance between the two people inside. When officers got there the men said there was no disturbance and drove away. The officers followed them, and when they seemed to be trying to avoid the police, they were pulled over. The driver was 30-year-old Raphy Medrano of Passaic, New Jersey. He has two warrants from Passaic for armed robbery and homicide. He was booked into jail pending extradition to New Jersey. The passenger, also from Passaic, was arrested for public intoxication.
