A Willow Creek motorcyclist was severely injured in a crash in which the other driver fled, even though it apparently was not their fault. At 7:20PM Wednesday evening 42-year-old Robert Binder was westbound on Highway 299 near Salyer on a 2004 Aprilia when he failed to stay in his lane on a right-hand curve. The motorcycle crossed the center line into the path of an unknown vehicle. They collided and Binder was ejected from the bike and hit the road. He was transported to Mercy Hospital in Redding with major injuries. The other driver fled the scene. Witnesses are encouraged to contact the CHP at 623-3832.
