Containment on the Six Rivers Lightning Complex in the Willow Creek area has improved dramatically in one day. As of Friday morning the fire is 67% contained. The six active fires have grown together into two large clusters north and south of Highway 299 with a total acreage of 25,399. Control lines are holding well for the most part but fire remains very active in some areas of the interior where direct attack is nearly impossible due to the extremely steep and rugged terrain. One structure has been confirmed destroyed, and there have been two injuries. Many evacuations have been lifted. Current evacuation orders can be found at community.zonehaven.com. Federal lands on the Lower Trinity Ranger District remain closed.
