Six River Complex Grows To Over 27,600 Acres

With more expansion across Cedar Creek and growth of some spot fires, the size of the Six Rivers Lightning Complex around Willow Creek has increased to 27,635 acres with 80% containment. Still only one structure has been destroyed and there have been 5 injuries on the largely inaccessible fire. Crews are working on control lines where they can, and in areas where that’s not possible they’re patrolling for fires started by airborne embers or rolling material. Some evacuations are still in effect and they can be seen at Federal lands on the Lower Trinity Ranger District remain closed.
