Nearly $30 Million In Disaster Relief Funds Headed To Shasta County

The Cities of Redding and Shasta Lake are both getting some large grants. The Federal Disaster Recovery Money is a result of the Carr Fire. It was delivered to the State of California and then administered as block grants. Redding is getting $22.6 Million, which will be used for affordable housing. Shasta Lake City is getting $6.3 million, which will be used for water infrastructure. The funds were announced by Congressman Doug LaMalfa, who says he was instrumental in the allocation.
