The City of Redding is asking residents to conserve electricity as much as possible for the next several days, even though rolling blackouts are not likely the way they are in other parts of the state. Redding Electric Utility Director Nick Zettel told the Redding City Council Tuesday night that its power plants are running at capacity, and they were able to sell some power to other utilities at the hottest part of the day. Customers are still asked to conserve between the peak hours of 4PM to 9PM.
