Firefighters Nearing Containment On Six Rivers Complex After Month Long Fight

Despite enduring record breaking temperatures, firefighters have made great progress on the Six Rivers Lightning Complex in the Willow Creek area, which now has an overall containment of 81%. The southern part of the complex, the Ammon Fire, is fully contained as crews focus on the active southern edge of the Campbell Fire. 958 personnel are still on scene. The total acreage of the complex 41,406. The complex started as a dozen lightning-sparked fires on August 5th.

A lightning fire near Douglas City in Trinity County, the Maxwell Fire, was halted Wednesday at 4 acres.
