A fire right behind the Walmart in Anderson on Sunday was intentionally set, according to Anderson Fire Protection District Investigators. The blaze was reported at around 8:30PM as an orange glow could be seen on the hillside to the southwest of the shopping center. Firefighters contained the fire quickly after it had burned a little over a quarter acre of heavy brush. Witnesses described a man who was seen leaving the area and Anderson Police stopped 40-year-old Jaimie Jacob Brown of Washington State. After an investigation he was booked into jail for arson to forest land and arson during a state of emergency. Bail is set at $100,000.
