Redding’s annual community creek clean-up is Saturday from 8AM to Noon, as hundreds of volunteers will fan out across the newly-renovated Nur Pon Open Space off Henderson Road, on the east side of the Sacramento River south of the Cypress Bridge. Volunteers should be at least 10-years-old and should bring a water bottle, closed-toe shoes, long pants and plenty of sunscreen. Organizers will provide gloves and tools.
