A fatal head-on crash involving a fully loaded logging truck and a sedan that occurred near Old Station on Wednesday is still under investigation by the CHP. An initial report dispatched by the CHP said that the truck belonged to Sierra Pacific Industries, but the company says that was not the case. The truck apparently belongs to an independent owner/operator. The driver of the sedan was killed in the crash, which happened on Highway 89 about 4 miles north of Old Station a little before 11AM. Traffic backed up for miles as the highway was completely blocked by the spilled logs and diesel.
