Otto the Redding Police K9, who helped catch two suspects early Sunday morning, got more work early Monday. A little before 2AM an employee of California Custom on Twin View Boulevard watched via remote security camera as two burglars cut a hole in the fence and slipped into the yard of the business. RPD was called and while they were responding the two prowlers stole a Yamaha PW50 motorcycle and tampered with a Sea Doo and two quads. When police arrived the two tried to hide in the creek bed to the north of the business. Police say 27-year-old Jacob Bram was apprehended as he emerged from the creekbed onto the shoulder of Interstate 5. Otto followed a track for about 150 yards to a dense thicket of brush where 35-year-old William Sloan was hiding. He refused to come out so Otto went in to get him and he was taken into custody. He was treated at a hospital and both men were booked into jail.
