A shooting in Cottonwood is under investigation by the Tehama County Sheriff’s Office. Tuesday evening deputies and medical personnel were called to Benson Road near Big Pines Road south of Bowman. Someone had apparently fired at least two rounds at Jesse James Webb, and he was struck at least once with a wound on the back of his ear. A search was done with help from the CHP, but the two suspects were not found. There’s no information available about the motive or circumstances surrounding the altercation that led to the shots fired.
