Drivers Can Expect Delays On Highway 299 Near Ingot As Crews Begin Improvement Project

Some long delays can be expected starting Monday on Highway 299 East in the Ingot area. Blasting will be done on a curve as part of a project to widen shoulders, realign the highway, improve sight distances install guard rails and create a clear recovery area. The work is being done from 2 miles east of Seamans Gulch to just west of Du Bois Road. Blasting will begin Monday and delays of 30 minutes can be expected for the next 3 or 4 weeks. The completion of the $6.8 Million project is expected next Summer.
