A man has been identified as a suspect in a machete attack in South Redding last Thursday morning, and Redding Police are asking for help finding him. The incident happened near the Highway 273 bridge over Clear Creek, and the victim ran to Clear Creek Market for help. He was hospitalized with a deep laceration to his arm. Police searched for the machete-wielding assailant but were unable to find him. He’s believed to be 37-year-old Eli Crow, a homeless man who frequents Southwest Redding. He’s 5-foot-10 and 190 pounds with brown hair. His photo is on the KQMS Facebook page.
