County Clerk Asks Election Observers Not To Interfere With Vote Counting

County Clerk Kathy Darling Allen says she plans to take steps to avoid a repeat of the June 7th Primary when election observers allegedly became confrontational in her office. She says the she and her staff simply don’t have time to repeatedly answer questions over and over, and if observers persist on interfering in the vote tally this coming Tuesday night, they will be removed by police. In June at least one worker reported feeling unsafe following contentious conversations with observers. Darling Allen says observers will be allowed, but the number may be limited due to space.
