The ban on outdoor burning will be lifted starting Monday in Shasta and Eastern Trinity Counties. Cal-Fire’s Shasta Trinity Unit Chief Sean O’Hara will formally lift the ban on outdoor burning on Monday morning at 8AM. Burn permits will be required and can be obtained online at Cal-Fires website. Burn day information in Shasta County is available by calling 530-244-8777. Residents living in the City or Redding will need to get a permit from the city’s website, once Redding Fire Department lifts the ban on outdoor pile burning. During a recent interview on the KQMS Morning Show Chief Jared Vanlandingham said that when pile burning begins, the burn season will remain open all the way until the start of next fire season, likely at the end of April.
