Fentanyl exposure sent a young Redding boy into ICU, and sent his parents to jail. 43-year-old Adam Valli apparently told police later that he was doing some household chores when he saw his one-year-old son licking a baggie that had contained the highly concentrated drug. Adam keeps NARCAN on hand in his home, so he administered some to the boy and then rushed him to the hospital while the child’s mother, 41-year-old Candice Youngblood, called 9-1-1 and said the child had stopped breathing. Adam met an ambulance on the way to the hospital and they began medical care. At last word the boy was in stable condition and is expected to survive. Valli and Youngblood were booked into jail for felony child endangerment.
