Inmate Captured After Escaping From Salt Creek Conservation Camp

An inmate who walked away from a Tehama County prison camp has been captured. Wearing bright orange prison garb with the words “State Prisoner” emblazoned up one leg, it’s probably a good idea to have plan before deciding to escape from one of the state’s intentionally-remote low-security camps. A plan is apparently not what 39-year-old Teo Raymond had Wednesday night when he left Salt Creek Conservation Camp near Paskenta. Raymond was serving a four year sentence out of Shasta County for burglary, assault, false imprisonment with violence, and corporal injury. An escape team tracked Raymond and found him Thursday night, hunkered down not far from the camp.
