Unemployment Rate Remains Historically Low In Shasta County

An unprecedentedly low unemployment rate continues for Shasta County. The rate for October was 3.9%, up just one tenth of a percent from September and down a full 1.5% from last October. There was also a month-over increase in the labor force, which was up from 74,000 to 74,600. Not a single Shasta County industry showed job losses last month. The rate for Tehama County was 4.1%. It was 3.7% in Trinity County and 4.4% in Siskiyou County. It was 3.8% for the state and 3.4% nationwide.
