Two Killed In Thanksgiving Day Crash On I-5 In Anderson

A Good Samaritan was killed after stopping to help a downed motorcyclist on Interstate Five in Anderson. Around 5:35PM Thursday evening, the rider was on a 2003 Harley Davidson northbound a little south of Balls Ferry Road when he struck a deer. The motorcycle overturned and slid into the center median, while the rider came to rest lying partially in the fast lane. A woman who was driving behind him witnessed the crash and pulled over into the median behind the motorcycle, then rushed over to assist the injured man. 58-year-old Zi Qiang Huang of San Francisco then came along in the fast lane driving a Toyota Camry. She failed to see the motorcyclist or the woman helping him and she struck them, causing fatal injuries to both. The CHP says Huang was not under the influence. Witnesses are asked to contact the CHP at 225-0500.
