The total collected in Tuesday’s North State Giving Tuesday is just barely eclipsed by last year’s record total. With 6,390 individual donations, the preliminary tally of $1,133,235 is just short of last year, which was a little over $1,350,000. The top recipients was Exodus Farms Ministry with $56,000, followed by Mt. Shasta Museum Association, Siskiyou Land Trust, Shasta Family YMCA and One Safe Place. This year also saw volunteers pledge 9,974 hours of their time. This was the eighth year that the Community Foundation of the North State has coordinated the event, this year benefiting 192 non-profits in Shasta, Siskiyou and Tehama Counties.
