Besides all the issues with snow on the road, Highway 44 in Lassen County was closed for a much different reason for a while Tuesday. The closure from Old Station to the Highway 36 junction was due to a collision involving a semi truck and a train. The driver of the big rig apparently did not clear the truck in time and was killed in the crash.
