Following almost three hours of public comment and discussion the Redding City Council voted 3 to 2 for a conceptual redesign of South City Park, to include a new playground, community center, and a dog park. The city will apply for a $3.5 Million federal grant to help the 8 to 10 Million Dollar cost. Tiger Field will remain in use for the 40 games the Colt 45’s play each Summer, and may also be used for little league.
