SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) – One winter storm is leaving California while another is lined up to enter. The National Weather Service says the new storm is expected to move through Northern California late Wednesday and overnight, followed by rounds of precipitation into next week. The week’s first storm arrived late Monday with howling winds, driving snow and drenching rains as it spread south. Its trailing edge has largely slipped out of Southern California, where the next big storm is predicted to hit on Saturday and extend into Sunday. The forecast indicates that Pasadena’s 138th Rose Parade will dodge stormy weather thanks to its tradition of holding the event on Jan. 2 when New Year’s Day is a Sunday. Rain is forecast to return midweek.
